She was born and raised in Belgrade. After completing high school and a secondary music school with a piano specialization, she enrolled in the Academy of Dramatic Arts (FDU) and graduated in 1970.
She was a member of the Yugoslav Drama Theatre (JDP), then moved to the National Theatre, and later became an independent artist.
She performed in nearly all Belgrade theaters, with around 200 roles on stage, and the same number in various TV dramas and series. She played in what's known as the "big repertoire," covering all genres. She appeared in approximately 16 films, winning the Golden Arena at the Pula Film Festival in 1978, as well as the Grand Charter for the film "The Dog That Loved Trains," and finally the Pavle Vujić Film Award for Lifetime Achievement. She has received all prestigious theater awards, such as the Žanka Stokić Award, Dobrica's Ring, the Sterija Award for Lifetime Achievement, the Joakim Vujić Award, as well as the Zoran Radmilović Award, the "2 ducks" award in Jagodina, and the Lifetime Achievement Award "2 ducks" for comedy.
She served as the president of the Association of Dramatic Artists of Serbia for two terms and initiated many enduring projects - theater newspaper Ludus, the Solidarity Fund for poor and sick artists. She is still active. She has plays in Atelje 212, Yugoslav Drama Theatre (JDP), Theatre on Banovo Brdo, Academy 28, and often guest stars in "Women's Conversations" by Duško Radović, which has been running for a full 40 years!
