Srdan Golubić biography

Srdan Golubović, born in 1972 in Belgrade, graduated from the Faculty of Dramatic Arts in Belgrade. During his studies, he directed several short films, among which the most notable is "Trojka," which won the Golden Medal of the City of Belgrade for Best Debut Film at the Belgrade Documentary and Short Film Festival in 1994. "Trojka" also participated in festivals in Tel Aviv, Birmingham, Lyon, and Chicago.

In 1995, he directed the third story in the omnibus film "Paket aranžman" titled "Herc minuta," a generational rock'n'roll film that was highly successful in domestic cinemas. At the film production company Baš-Čelik, which he founded with a team of young authors, he directed music videos for famous local bands and singers, as well as highly acclaimed commercials and marketing campaigns.

In 2001, he directed his first feature film, "Apsolutnih sto" (Absolute Hundred), which participated in the main programs of over 30 international film festivals, including San Sebastian, Toronto, Thessaloniki, Cottbus, Rotterdam, Busan, Paris, Palm Springs, Trieste, and San Jose. The film won ten international and 19 domestic awards. Currently, he is preparing his second feature film, "Klopka" (The Trap), in a German-Hungarian co-production.

Golubović has received numerous international awards, including the Audience Award for Best Foreign Film at the Thessaloniki Film Festival, the Fipresci Prize at the Cottbus Festival, and awards at festivals in Paris, Palić, and several others. At domestic festivals, he has won awards at film festivals in Sopot, Herceg Novi, Vrnjačka Banja, and Niš.
